Greenly Beach Planting Day 2024

In 2017 we put out the challenge to get over 1000 seedlings planted out at Greenly Beach.  Thanks to the amazing support we are now preparing for our 8th community planting day.  It’s also the 10th year that Lower Eyre Coastcare volunteers and Lake Wangary School have been working together growing local native plants for Greenly.

Over the years we’ve flown kites, painted shorebirds, made rock art, had a whale cruise by, only been rained out once and planted a few trees.  Last year we went with the no-frills day and put out the challenge to get >1500 seedlings planted and you did it.  So that is how we are going to roll again this year focussing on getting the plants in the ground. There will be a BBQ lunch fundraiser by Lake Wangary School to keep you well fed.

Get outdoors and into nature and take positive action to care for our local coastal environemnt. Come along and plant a tree or two, three, come for the day.  Great day for the whole family.
