Our Coastcare volunteers started working with Lake Wangary School in 2015 to undertake revegetation work at Greenly Beach. In 2017 we put out the challenge to get over 1000 seedlings planted at Greenly Beach for World Environment Day.  Thanks to the community support we achieved this and there was overwhelming support to make the day an annual event. In 2025 we will hold our 9th community planting day event to coincide with World Environment Day.

We are also trialling a range of erosion control techniques at this very windy site to try and hold the sand in place and protect our young plants. These include the rock art maze and the eagle rock art, erosion matting and the use of local native plant prunings.
