The nature of Long Beach, Coffin Bay

Join us for a day on Long Beach. Take a walk amongst the flamboyant shorebird flock for World Migratory Bird Day, pick up some identification tips and get a close up look at the real birds through the scopes. Take a guided walk with our team of experts to learn more about the revival of native oyster reefs, reptiles, resident and migratory shorebirds and why we need to be alert to their behaviour this year, local native edible plants and Nauo names for plants, wildlife and places.
Join us as we set up a citizen science project to survey the beach for microplastics as part of the national Ausmap project.
Free event for all the family.
